The Burlingame Rap!
We’re all looking forward to the day sheltering-in-place is no longer necessary and it’s no secret most of us are exhausted by the negative news all over the media that never seems to end. But, the COVID-19 pandemic is still here, so we still have to be cautious about health and safety, not only our own but our community’s as well.
Relaying the message to the people through rap was how our team over at the DBID decided to lighten the mood and press the importance of practicing health and safety measures while sharing a laugh or two. Humor wins every time...Adam Hilt, a local high schooler volunteered his time and skills and came up with The Burlingame Rap. The DBID hopes that this creative approach will be a humorous way of relaying the message to the public in a more light-hearted, approachable way. A refreshing take from the constant negative bombardment we’re often seeing in the media today. Witty isn’t it?

Wearing a facemask will help prevent the spread of the infection. In this time of pandemic, making sure you always have it with you is vital.
Burlingame, California recognizes that tension is at an all time high with merchants and patrons all doing their best to adhere to the masked life we’ve found ourselves in. That’s why wearing one is strictly implemented. All establishments are mandated to maintain a ‘no facemask, no entry’ policy to avoid transmission. As Adam Hilt mentioned in his rap “If I can wear a mask then, you can too.”
