Updates on the COVID-19 Emergency
We are Open for Business: Our businesses are open! All of them adhere to strict guidelines and have established protocol to help protect you, their customer, and their staff. The businesses have learned to pivot and embrace new ways of doing things that may or may not be evident to everyone. Know that they are eager to see the 3 dimensional you, and work to keep your experience healthy and positive! But if you prefer to shop/dine from afar, they've got you covered as well! You can continue to find many of our businesses online 24/7, many offering food to go orders and curbside pick up.
Patience is a virtue, as they say and we all need that in abundance this year! We are specifically asking the community to understand and embrace the changes businesses and the City Council are making to best address everyone's needs. Since there are effects of every decision, not everyone benefits from every decision. For example, the Burlingame Ave. closure was a huge benefit for some and hardship for others. Now, the parklets for restaurants and salons are in effect downtown. We all know that this removes some of the already limited parking downtown, but it was thought that the benefits outweigh the downsides, literally allowing these businesses to remain open. As business owners we'd like to thank you in advance for your understanding for any inconvenience during this time.

The Chamber of Commerce's Downtown Farmer’s Market is open as it has been throughout the stages of Sheltering in Place. We would just remind everyone to be aware of Social Distancing and Face covering protocol when visiting the Farmer's Market. Open Businesses
Single Use Bag Regulation Change: Burlingame has suspended enforcement of its single use bag regulations during the current COVID-19 emergency. This means that essential businesses such as grocery stores, pharmacies, and take-out and delivery restaurants will not be required to charge for single use bags. Each business can determine for itself what measures are appropriate to protect its workers and the public, including limiting the use of reusable bags if necessary. The City will notify businesses 30 days before the single use bag regulations go back into effect.
Please stay safe and healthy, and thank you to everyone for being loyal customers and a valued members of our Burlingame community.
