2021 YANovCon Short Story Contest

Submissions open March 1, 2021 and close Monday, April 12, 2021

This year we are asking you to create a short story based on one of these three themes:

*Mental Health

*Social Justice

*Body Positivity

Short Story Guidelines:

Open to 6-12 graders who reside in San Mateo County

Submit your own original work of 500 words or less

Stories can be realistic fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, mystery, dystopian, or whatever you come up with

All submissions are due by Monday, April 12, 2021

1st Place Prize: Book Bundle and Journal

Due Date: YANovCon Short Story Contest

All 6th-12th graders who live or go to school in San Mateo County are invited to submit a 500-word maximum short story where one of our three themes (Mental Health, Social Justice, or Body Positivity) has major positive or negative impacts on a character’s life. Students can get all the information and submit their story at https://bit.ly/3uepAVb
