You may have heard, “children grieve differently than adults.” What does that mean, how can you tell, and how do you best support a child who is grieving?
Jaymie Byron, MFT, will share what grief and mourning can look like for children of all ages. Kids react differently to loss, based on where they are developmentally. Jaymie will also provide practical ways to support a child through the grief process.
You will learn:
- How and why children of different ages perceive grief based on their cognitive abilities
- How children from the age of 4 through teens react to grief
- How to support your children as they move through the grief process
Before you can talk to your children about grief, it’s important to understand your own feelings.
