“Zoom-wear” is going nowhere…

With the shelter-in-place order slowly lifting in San Mateo County and other parts of the Bay Area, some may assume that COVID life might be coming to an end and we’ll see some adaptations in what our new “normal” will be. While we’re unsure of what the future holds, there are some things that might not be so fast to change…some things such as how we dress.

Men’s wear designer Devan Rosdahl from Devan Vincent in Downtown Burlingame like other businesses had to pivot slightly. Leading up to the Pandemic that started in early 2020, Devan Vincent was a go-to designer for businessmen from across the globe. They would enjoy private fittings in his stylish Burlingame showroom and experience best-in-class customization to suit their busy lifestyle. The men Devan Vincent designed for were executives, in and out of meetings. They were tech gurus working with their teams. They were lawyers. They were CEOs. They were out and about at events, meetings, conferences, press outings, lunches, dinners and then they were home. Boardrooms were replaced by home-offices and in-person meetings replaced with zoom.

Practically overnight Devan Rosdahl went from designing menswear for busy and outgoing men to designing for equally busy men who were now taking business from home. With the sudden change in lifestyle also came the sudden change in wardrobe needs. Ties and stuffy blazers were left to hung replaced by more casual attire. Enter the era of Zoom-wear. So, let’s talk about “ZOOM-WEAR”…

Zoom-wear effectively is what Devan coins the elevated casual look. It’s the evolution of office attire, the transition in our lifestyle bought about by COVID-19.
