The results are in – Winners of the 2nd Annual Holiday Window Display contest
Merchants Magical Merchandising Brighten Downtown Burlingame!
Holiday Display Window Contest Judges: Lorin Flynn (Burlingame Woman's Club), Elma Kim (Interior Designer/Community Member), Jeannine Lewis (Nob Hill Gazette/SF Examiner), Hewan Talaktor (Marketing Manager), Marcia Bauer and Carol Battu (Burlingame Beautification Commissioners) rated retailers holiday display windows for holiday theme, lighting, originality and creativity in the 2nd Annual Merchants’ Holiday Display Window Contest.
Participating merchants included Penflora Designs, Gigglemugs, Solo Bambini (last year’s 2nd Place winner!), Caffe Central, Five Little Monkeys, Ideal Eyes, The Studio Shop and KMD Antiques & Design Atelier. Santas, snowmen, lit-up reindeer, decorative clear and colorful ornaments, and graceful floral garlands were among the festive “eye candy” on display! Judges commented that the rating process was challenging with such elegant, fun, sophisticated and playful choices! Photos of the event are on DBID’s website.
Finally, after deliberation and tabulating the final results, the 2023 Merchants’ Holiday Display Window winners are (drum roll, drum roll): 1st Place: Penflora Designs; 2nd Place: Gigglemugs and 3rd Place: Caffe Central!
The DBID Downtown Burlingame merchants’ association thanks all those retailers who made this a lively competition. DBID looks forward to more merchants participating as this contest grows each year.
